Hybrid Repair of an Innominate Artery Pseudoaneurysm after Blunt Traumatic Injury in a Bovine Arch
نویسندگان
چکیده
Innominate artery injury is an uncommon consequence of blunt trauma to the neck due its protected position behind thorax. A 38-year-old male presented as a with right-sided pseudoaneurysm emanating from distal innominate after falling three-story building. On imaging, he also had bovine arch. He underwent hybrid repair covered stent placement common carotid into artery, carotid-subclavian bypass, and plugging subclavian artery. The patient recovered no cerebral insult, neurological deficits, or rupture. Post-traumatic pseudoaneurysms can successfully be repaired via surgical approach.

Accepted for publication 5 December 1995 A 51 year old woman was transferred to our hospital for surgical treatment of a paracardiac mass. The patient was free of symptoms on admission. The chest x ray and electrocardiogram were normal. Echocardiography showed a large paracardiac mass with a homogeneous acoustic pattern in the right atrioventricular groove. Magnetic resonance imaging also showe...
متن کاملTraumatic Injury of the Innominate Artery: A Case Report
The innominate artery (the right brachiocephalic artery) is an aortic branch. From this artery, right carotid artery and subclavian artery are bifurcated. This artery is short and relatively well protected by the bony thorax. However, injury of this artery is not uncommon. Several cases with innominate artery injuries have been documented involving blunt traumatic injury such as motor vehicle a...
متن کاملTraumatic Supratrochlear Artery Pseudoaneurysm With Spontaneous Resolution
Background: Traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the supratrochlear artery is a rare lesion. It manifests, as a painless mass, in the frontal region following trauma. The unusual incidence and confusing presentation require the clinicians to thoroughly understand its presentation and diagnosis. Diagnosis is typically made on history and physical examination, but it can be confirmed by duplex ultraso...
متن کاملBlunt Traumatic Aortic Injury of Right Aortic Arch in a Patient with an Aberrant Left Subclavian Artery
Right-sided aortic arch (RAA) is a rare congenital developmental variant present in about 0.1 percent of the population. This anatomical anomaly is commonly associated with congenital heart disease and complications from compression of mediastinal structures. However, it is unknown if patients are at a higher risk of blunt thoracic aortic injury (BTAI). We report a case of a 20-year-old man adm...
